Hey there.
Taking photographs for a living is horrible.
It’s the stress of making small talk with strangers while trying to do a highly technical job. Having the art director tell you one thing while the client contradicts them and trying to balance the two. It’s being a solo operator, trying to appear bigger than you are so brands trust paying you to do a job you can clearly do while pushing budgets as low as possible to generate something that is of incredible value.
It’s late payments and agency ghosting.
But taking photographs for a living is incredible.
It’s the buzz in the air on shoot day when the results are beyond expectations, when a team works together to create something beautiful, something that draws an audience in. It’s the relationships, the breakthroughs, the locations, the people, catering giving me a twix at 8am and ultimately it’s a very happy client who sees it all as effortless.
I wouldn’t change it for anything.
